Junior Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking for a talented and motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical products for the mining industry.

You will work closely with customers, research and test various methods and materials, and collaborate with operators to ensure the highest product and system quality. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our client's business while expanding your own skills and knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop mechanical products by studying customer requirements and conducting research, testing, and analysis.

  • Design and modify equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.

  • Ensure system and product quality by designing testing methods and conducting thorough tests.

  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive product reports by collecting and analyzing data and trends.

  • Provide engineering information and support to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations and industry standards.

  • Coordinate maintenance and repair services for equipment and machinery.

  • Maintain the system and product database by accurately entering and managing data.

  • Train and guide technicians to complete projects effectively and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with the Sales Department to design conveyor structures and mining components.

  • Visit mine sites to measure and design new components and draw conveyors.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

  • 2-5 years of experience in the mining and design industry.

  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and other mechanical engineering concepts.

  • Excellent mathematical skills, including advanced geometry, calculus, and physics.

  • Familiarity with CAD and other mechanical design software.

  • Creative thinking and innovation in problem-solving.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of target users and the market.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
